STEP remains the active route for innovative non-EEA founders

In force Residency

The Start-up Entrepreneur Programme requires an innovative high-potential proposal and evidence of at least EUR50,000 funding for the first founder, plus source-of-funds and good-character documentation. Permission is initially two years and can be renewed for three; STEP is not a passive investor residence route.

Who it affects

Non-EEA founders considering Ireland.
