The Office des Changes published its General Instruction for Foreign-Exchange Operations 2026 on 15 June 2026. The instruction is the current operational reference for permitted foreign-exchange transactions. It does not make the dirham freely convertible. The former record also misdated the widening of Bank Al-Maghrib's dirham fluctuation band to plus or minus 5%, which occurred in March 2020 rather than 2024.
