Opt-out electronic patient record enters nationwide use

The “ePA for all” programme started on 15 January 2025. Statutory health insurers provided an electronic patient record to insured people who had not opted out by mid-February, and practices, hospitals and pharmacies have been required to use the system nationwide since 1 October 2025. Patients retain objection and access-control rights under the applicable rules.
