In 2026 the general statutory health-insurance contribution rate remains 14.6%, while the officially announced average supplementary contribution is 2.9%; each fund sets its own supplementary rate. Contributions are assessed up to EUR69,750 annually. The general compulsory-insurance earnings threshold is EUR77,400, with a separate EUR69,750 threshold for the protected pre-2003 private-insurance group.
