Points-based system applies to Critical Skills and General Work visas

New Critical Skills and General Work visa applications are assessed against a 100-point threshold. A listed critical-skills occupation carries 100 points; otherwise points can come from qualifications, offered salary, work experience, a Trusted Employer offer and official-language ability. A job offer is mandatory and all other visa requirements still apply.
