Brazil institutes its National Policy on Migration, Refuge and Statelessness

Decree 12,657/2025 instituted the National Policy on Migration, Refuge and Statelessness. It coordinates federal action with states, municipalities, civil society and affected communities, and assigns responsibilities across integration, social protection, work, health and education. A four-year national implementation plan is the policy's planning and monitoring instrument.
