Supreme Court rejects the executive limit on birthright citizenship

In Trump v. Barbara, the Supreme Court held that children born in the United States to parents unlawfully or temporarily present are subject to U.S. jurisdiction and are citizens at birth under the Fourteenth Amendment. The decision prevents Executive Order 14160 from denying recognition of citizenship to the covered children and replaces the site's earlier, now-stale litigation status.
