Department of State expands countries subject to visitor-visa bonds

The Department of State maintains a current list of nationalities for which otherwise-eligible B-1/B-2 applicants may be required to post a bond of USD5,000, USD10,000 or USD15,000. The consular officer selects the amount and the applicant must use the official payment process and designated ports of entry.
